Jobs and Career

I’ve started my career at the age of 20 when I entered into employment at the Ministry of Machinery of China in Beijing. This was a very important assignment at that time and was possibly among the best jobs of my classmates after graduation.

Afterwards my career has taken me to China’s other major metropolises such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and now Hangzhou, working at some of the most known corporations and organizations. All these posts were related to the most important development projects of the economy of the country at that time and thus I have always been in the frontier of the social development of the nation during that period. I’ve changed my roles comfortably and acquired the reputation among my colleges and partners.

I was later employed by the China representatives of several major multinational corporations, such as

  • Alstom (with a market value of dozens of billions of US Dollars in my duties and responsibilities),
  • Deutsche Babcock (for purchasing of worth hundreds of millions of US Dollars),
  • Siemens,
  • TüV Rheinland

and I was also employed by several leading Chinese organizations and companies such as

  • the Chinese Ministry of Machinery Industry,
  • Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute,
  • Guangdong Nuclear Power Joint Venture Co.,
  • China Greatwall Industries

etc in the power/electricity and other industries with various functions:

  • purchasing
  • marketing & sales
  • quality management
  • international trading
  • industry coordination
  • design and
  • engineering etc.

My career spans over several industry sectors with varying roles such as design and engineering, management and public administration, quality management and assurance, marketing and procurement.. I’ve involved in a number of key national projects, joined business networks of the multinational companies in China and helped boost the technology exchange, business development, investment and the improvement of the management of the Chinese industry.

And lastly concerning the reasons for changing jobs over the past, I would say it is difficult to summarize in brief. First, it was my plan to work in as many types of organizations as possible before settling down in a certain area or organization – more than what I actually did, second, sometimes I could not win a job of my type and for the reasons of survival I have to accept ones not in my plans; and finally there were always dozens of reasons behind the changes – never there was a change out of a simple motive such as for too low salaries etc, because people like me will always plan carefully for my career as it shall always be in compliance with my overall strategies. Simply put, I was not changing jobs but reengineering my career.

Jobs for Chip Design

Here are information about my job applications for IC design industries.

After all my efforts of applying for a decent job by dozens of thousands of companies of many countries for very different roles in different languages over the last decade, I have given up my job hunting for ever and ever - that was about April 2013. And instead I will focus on my businesses and researches alone

Alstom

When I left my former employer, I did not keep contacts and records any more, but Alstom was an exception. I have been maintaining a contact with Mr George Van Kerckhove since then and I have also carefully backuped my working records to some degree, such as shown below:
