Today, I went to nearby town called Liuxia in Hangzhou suburb and went to ICBC to handle credit card payment, because I have never used the credit card ever since I have got it in May last year, therefore I need to pay an annual fee. ICBC has notified me in April, but I have been too busy to deal with it. I have been plagued with many other things these days. Even the invitation to a lunch by my classmates and freind is postponed for more than 2 months. Still today I haven't set it yet. And now, there at ICBC people call me uncle. I am 58 years old, I haven't arrived at this age level yet, but this is a clear sign how my aging is going fast. When the mother is still there, I looked very young. Two years ago, people also said that I looked like 35 years old? Suffering life injustice, poverty, loneliness, being bullied - all the sufferings put my spine bones to crust.Over the past year, since I came to Hangzhou end of June last year, I was too busy, and aging is accelerated. This process must be slowed down. I have to restore my health.

How many people are making money to support their families through video self-publishing or wemedia?
How many people can earn enough to feed their families through self-media? This problem has been bothering me long time, and maybe many people are also concerned about this question. Answering this question is really not easy, but it is really important too.
In any industry, there are always some people who make money, some do not make money at all and some others lose money. It is said that this ratio is about the same, it is one-third each of them. I haven't done a statistical survey on this, but I heard it from a powerful entrepreneur many years ago.
Specific to the self-media industry, does this 3:3:3 law continue to be effective? If this is the case, then it is great news for us to be self-media people. But in fact, it's not.
According to my judgment, the percentage of people who actually make money is incredibly low.
For example, there are a few people on Youtube who are earning dozens of millions U.S. dollars each year. According to my tenth rule, there are dozens of people earning millions of dollars a year, hundreds of people earning hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, and thousands of people earning tens of thousands of US dollars every year. From this point of view, the number of people on YouTube who can really live on video publishing every year is only tens of thousands at most, which is probably less than one ten-thousandth of the active users of that platform. This number and ratio are consistent with my feelings. People who are earning money on any platform are always only a small population of that platform, that is, a small number of Internet celebrities, who have made their fames already.
According to the same law, there are very few people who can make money from the media in domestic video platforms. For example, it is said that a few media hosting guys at IXigua.com may earns millions of RMB every year-it is RMB. In the same way, only a few thousands may earn tens of thousands every year.
Although it feels a bit underestimated, my feeling should be more than real.
On the other hand, some people say that according to the 2:8 golden rule, about 4% of video UP owners can rely on self-media to support their families. This ratio is already relatively low, and of course it is higher than my estimated one out of ten thousands.
In addition, it is estimated that 1% of self-media people can achieve a monthly income of a few thousands RMB, so that they basically have the conditions for survival, depending on where you live and your lifestyle. I am not one of them anyway.
In this way, according to the initial information I have obtained, at most 4%, and at least less than one in ten thousand people can live a working-class life through self-media.

The Chinese mobile operators have disabled short message receiption to those coming from outside China, effective Aug-10-2021, thus some of the web services I cannot use. For example, Rumble requires me to verify my mobile, and Namecheap as well, proceed with either the video uploading or to login into their website. For Rumble I have found only a temporary solution where I can find some disposable free sms services, and for Namecheap, they have disabled the 2FA verification after I have provided a bunch of proves of my account. Chinese mobile operators did provide an option to receive international sms, but it seems some of the sms are still not be able to arrive at my handy. Therefore it is my urgent job to secure some kinds of permanent sms solution with a mobile number outside of China. That is very difficult.
PayPal also asks for sms verification each time I login to their system. There is a solution, though, by using an authentification system, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. They both only work on mobile but I have found a workaround and therefore I can also prove my identity without the need of a handy. At the moment though I am using Microsoft Authenticator to login to Paypal.
