Shanghai’s First “BizJet 4S Shop” Opened 2012-01-19

Shanghai’s first business jet 4s shop was opened to repair mainstream jets.

In the future, business jet can be repaired in Shanghai

Yesterday, the Shanghai Business Jet Repair Base of the Hongqiao Airport has received the aircraft repair license, thus it became the first 4s shop of business jet in mainland China. In the future, Hawker Beechcraft, Bombardier, Dassault Falcon and other mainstream business jets can all be repaired in Shanghai, without the need to fly to Singapore and Paris.

Each Year 40 Aircrafts Can Be Repaired

Business jet has to be overhauled and maintained each 500 hours of flying. Before that, one has to fly to Singapore or Paris for that relatively minor project, wasting at least tens of thousands of Dollars. It is not only time wasting, but also costing much higher land use and labors.

The 4s shop just opened can not only conduct routine repair and remedy, but also major overhauls. Repair people are also able to respond much faster. Two days ago, a Legacy 7X was damaged in Nanjing, repair engineers were able to rush to Nanjing the same day with the ease of high speed rail and necessary equipment.

The Hongqiao Base can maintain 6 jets at the same time and each year it can handle 40 business jets for the repair and maintenance work. In comparison with Singpaore, Hongqiao is able to manage more jet types.

Special Channels Planned for BizJets in Pudong

Over the past two years, the Chinese business jet market has been developing very rapidly. Upto end last year, 100 sets were registered in Mainland China. It is predicted that this year, take-offs and landings at the two airports in Shanghai (Hongqiao and Pudong) will reach 3200, about one third of China’s total. Therefore consideration is being given to open a special channel for business jets at the Pudong Airport, in order to fully utilize the idle resources. It is also planned to start the ground guarantee services. Procurement of vehilces and equipments are already begun. A new business jet terminal is to be planned as well.

DeerJet Launched its FBO in Shenzhen 2010-11-23

China’s only independent FBO – DeerJet FBO Shenzhen – was completed recently and will be put into operation on December 21.

The FBO, situated between the terminal B and the logistic park, was renovated from the original helicopter waiting hall of the Shenzhen Baoan International Airport. The FOB will integrate the air and ground services for business jets. It can not only help improve the corporate image, but also determine the route and schedule of flight at client’s request, thus passengers can not only enjoy specialist services, but also guarantee their privacy with the separation from the other passengers who go aboard ordinary lines.

Until now this year business jet arrivals and takeoffs at the Airport has reached 222, an increase of 68.2% compared with the previous year’s data. More and more high ranking officials, business leaders, movie stars and those heavily hospitalized in need of emergent cure choose business jets as their priority transportation tools. End Septmeber this year, Warren Buffet has flew his private jet to Shenzhen Baoan Internationa Airport to participate in a series of charity events in China.

At the moment, DeerJet is the major buiness aviation operator at the airport, while Jiasuo Business Jet, Air Routing International, Trans-Asia Handling, Shanghai Foreign Aviation Service, Asia United Business Aviation are also providing business aviation services at the Airport.

It is predicted that, after the official operation of the FBO facilities, apart from DeerJet, there will be other foreign business jet manufacturers or service companies which will station there. By 2011, the operation of the business aviation in Shenzhen will grow rapidly. The future FBO services will not only include passenger channel service and VIP room service, but will also add aircraft cleaning, repair, ramp equipment, hangar, aircraft managed services, aircraft leasing financing and purchasing services.
