Founded Solaires (previously known as Softhousing) in Nov. 1999 in Shanghai, managed all aspects of the operation of the company, incl. all company strategy, design, marketing, and after-sales services.

Focusing first on e-commerce consultation and website technologies solution. In Jan, 2001 the company moved to nearby Hangzhou and business scope expandes to consultation on online procurement, Internet quality services/software, software and development for solar and wind power industries, Internet communications and online 3D, multimedia solutions.

• supplier database management: created and maintained a chinese supplier database and profile archive integrated with SAP/R3 & Lotus Domino/Notes systems from the scratch
• network admin.: maintained the NETWORK of the company with ca. 25 desktops and laptops, one LotusDomino server in connection with servers in Oberhausen, Germany

• together with a purchase team of 3, reduced a purchasing cost of more than 4 million USD out of a USD 40 million purchase of auxiliaries for the 2x600 MW Dezhou boilers in Shandong province by hard negotiation. Goods: boiler drums, steel structures, pipes/tubes/ducts, air heater, electric, lifts/cranes etc
• efficiently organized inquiries and quotation evaluations for projects in Australia, Turkey, Germany, India for fans, steel structures, electric, heaters etc based on my freshly built supplier database;

• pioneered the quality certification business in China,
• audited and certified some of the best known companies in China as either auditor or lead auditor, e.g. Shanghai Volkswagen, AMECO ( a Lufthansa joint venture), Siemens switchgears, Schindler, Schenck, Hisense, Haier etc

Overall responsible for manufacturing and quality for this private company with a staff of 200+ and a turn-over of more than US $ 20 million.

• set up and improved the company's production and quality control system, incl. drawing up a quality manual and a number of quality procedures,
• supervised the testing and inspection on the production line

A Siemens (www.siemens.de) company of 650 + employee with production facilities in Germany, Singapore, and the US. Oversaw the complete quality control and assurance activities, incl. carrying out feasibility studies, making statistical analysis and sample check. Coordinated with technical, and quality staff from Germany and Singapore for standards/specifications and other issues.

• closely monitored the whole assembly and tets procedures of steam turbine, condenser and feedwater pump
• found and reported a significant failure in the maintainance of the generator

marketing coordination engineer/manager, reporting to the chief representative of ALSTOM Shanghai in coordination with ALSOM worldwide

• explored the market of the nuclear, gas turbine, steam turbine, hydraulic power, navy and industrial equipment in the east China area which were untouched at that time
• focused on all hydraulic projects within the East China region, China's richest area
• coordinated with ALSTOM Beijing for the Three Gorges Hydropower Project, world's largest hydropower project with a power capacity of 18000 MW
