Dear Sirs,
I know your name and your recruitment info from www.headhunter.com and I found the SAP QM job fits to my career plan and therefore I am sending this inquiry letter together with a resume of mine for your reference.
I was involved in purchasing back to 1997 while working at ALSTOM, a major player in transportation, power generation, power transmission, navy and industrial equipment industries.

Later as the global sourcing manager for Babcock's China operation, together with Babcock headquarters, I was involved in the purchasing of USD 40 million for our utility boilers of 2x600 MW in Shangdong province, China in the period of 1998-2000. As result of our efforts the overall procurement cost were reduced by 10% +, saving more than USD 4 million for that project alone.
While I was a qualified auditor of TUeV Rheinland - one of the best known certification and test bodies in the world - I had many experiences with the automobile, appliances, mechanical, electric and aerospace industries, e.g. Volkswagen, Lufthansa, Siemens, Schindler etc.
I hold a master of science degree from one of China's top universities, majoring in thermal engineering. My undergraduate study was thermal power machines at the same university in Shanghai, China.
Another strong point of mine is my language skill - proficient in English, German and to lesser extent, French. English is more or less my working and daily language. And I have no difficulty to converse with my german colleagues and communicate in German. Reading French is no big problem but to write and speak sounds not so easy.
For detailed information about my background and qualifications please refer to the resume enclosed. For yet more info please don't hesitate to contact me via postal address, telephone or electronic mail written at the top right side of this letter.

Thank you for your kind consideration of my application and wish to have a chance to meet you somewhere.
Sincerely yours,
(Mr) Chen Minghua
